I have been drawing since before I can remember and painting for over twenty years. Waterolours are my first love and the images I paint are predominantly local scenes familiar to any who know and love Victoria, and British Columbia’s coastal waters. Born and raised in Victoria, I give an ‘insider’s’ look at the area through my paintings.

My illustration work broadens my focus to include portraiture while still incorporating the architectural and maritime themes of much of my fine art. Whatever project I’m working on, my work displays an affinity for traditional media and an assured but quiet certainty.

Travel has been a major part of my life, having travelled internationally and lived in several different countries, and informs much of my practice. Largely self-taught, my education includes a BA in Art History from UVic (2010) and a diploma in Design (IDEA) from Capilano University (2014).
